I am having a blast branching back out of my little makeup shell. If you didn’t know when I was just out of high school, I was a Clinique Counter girl, and LOVED it. I always had planned on moving counters after a few years, but unfortunately never got the chance, since I moved away to live with my fiance. I don’t know why I didn’t apply for cosmetic counters in my new city, I should have. Any ways, I have always loved make up and doing make up, but since becoming a mom I never really put that time into myself. Now I do, I make the time. Sometimes it means waking up SUPER early to put that full face of make up on, but man is it worth it for me.
Make up is a form of expression for me, it’s art on my face. My skills have only improved and grown over the years and up until recently, none of my friends around me really knew that I did do know how to apply some pretty awesome looks. No more basic make up for this mama!! Ok, there are days where the basic make up comes out, because let’s face it, not all the time do I want to run to the grocery store with a full face of glam, although not opposed to it.
I am with a direct selling company called LimeLight by Alcone, which has natural skin care and some pretty awesome make up. Whilst I love the company, I crave for more. More eye shadows, more bronzers, a highlighter, and just some fun make up to be able to create even more amazing looks. I have been branching out of that comfort shell and back into the world of make up. And man I have missed it, and didn’t even realize I had.
So every year Sephora does bi-annual sales, once in the spring and then again in the fall. This fall’s sale starts on November 10th and you can get any where from 15% to 20% off your purchases, depending on what kind of member you are. How freaking amazing is that? I will list the codes below, so you don’t have to search for them.
Here’s what’s in my basket to purchase!!! I would love to hear what you are wanting to purchase, and what you do end up getting, leave those down in the comments below!!!
I am getting the cologne sampler for my husband, he is a lover of cologne and smell good kind of things. He saw this in store and was really intrigued by it, so I am getting it for him for Christmas. It is $65, and comes with 12 sample sizes of cologne, with a voucher to go back and pick up the one you liked the most.
I am trying to branch out from the same blush I have been using for the past year, I seem to find one blush and never want to branch out. This pallete comes with 8 blush shades and 2 highlighters. It is a smaller and compact pallete, which makes it perfect for travel. It retails for $44, so if you are in the market for a new blush I would pick this one up since it has a wide variety of shades.
Next is the Hourglass Vanish Seamless Foundation Stick and Veil Mineral Primer set. This retails for $52, and comes with a full size foundation stick and a travel size primer. I am so in love with the primer, and I have been watching and reading a lot of reviews on the foundation, so I am going to take the plunge and branch out of my foundation game. I currently use either LimeLight’s Botanical Foundation, which is a wax based foundation, or Maybelline’s Fit Me, Matte and Poreless foundation. I like both for different reasons and I am just looking for something else, because why not.
I am probably one of the last people to pick this up, but like I said I have stayed in a LimeLight by Alcone bubble, and just now branching out. This palette calls to me, the colors just make me have so many different looks come straight into my mind. I cannot wait to get my hands on this beauty. This palette retails for $42 and comes with 14 shades, so really I don’t find it terribly expensive. Considering what I paid for my LimeLight by Alcone’s palette.
I have been obsessed with the Nars Orgasm color ever since I first saw it, but I have never purchased it. I don’t know why, I think it is such a gorgeous color and perfect for me, so I will be picking up this mini set. It retails for $24.
And lastly I will be grabbing this Briogeo gift set. I got a deluxe sample in September’s boxy charm and love it, so I wanted to try more. And thought this $39 gift set would be perfect to get to test out a few other products from them. And I bet my husband will get some use out of these as well.
I just added this balm make up remover, I am currently using a cleanser to remove my make up, which works very well, but I notice that it has been stripping my face too much and causing me to be more dry. So I am looking to try a make up remover balm and switch up my cleanser to one for dryer skin. I have been noticing my skin changing from oily to more dry lately. This retails for $34.
